How the backfill was built
What it covers. 25 missions: SpaceX Transporter 1–18 and Bandwagon 1–4 (all launched to date), Spaceflight's SSO-A, Rocket Lab's Make It Rain rideshare, and SEOPS Darkstar-1 (not launched). 53 dated target observations and 20 change records: 11 from SpaceX posts on X, 4 from press releases, 3 from news reports, 2 from Launch Library 2 launch records.
Sources. Each observation is a target date stated in a dated public source: SpaceX's own posts on X, provider and broker press releases, and news reports. Actual launch times come from Launch Library 2. Secondary lists (e.g. ElonX) were used only as leads and are never cited. Archived spacex.com/rideshare pages load flight dates with JavaScript, so Wayback snapshots did not yield usable dates and none are cited.
Month-level dates. Month, quarter, half-year, 'early'/'late' (H1/H2) and 'this week' targets are read as the LAST day of the period, matching Launch Library 2 placeholders. Slip per launched mission = launch day minus the end of the first verified target, floored at 0. Sub-day time changes are not counted. A day inside an announced month is a refinement, not a change. Dates are calendar days at the launch site (Pacific for Vandenberg, Eastern for Florida, New Zealand for Mahia).
Gaps. Slips can only be counted from the earliest target we could verify, so they are lower bounds. 11 of 24 launched missions have only targets from the last two weeks before launch (Transporter-2, Transporter-4, Transporter-5, Transporter-6, Transporter-7, Transporter-8, Transporter-13, Transporter-14, Transporter-15, Transporter-18, Bandwagon-1). Rocket Lab's other multi-customer flights were not backfilled. Two observations were reported after the fact (Transporter-6's October 2022 target, Transporter-11's July week). Live records only start 14 Oct 2026.
