Rideshare Ledger

Methodology

Rideshare Ledger is a free website and rideshare launch tracker for smallsat program managers.

Sources

  • Launch schedule: Launch Library 2 (The Space Devs), refreshed by script within its free-tier rate limit.
  • Provider facts: providers' own published pages (e.g. spacex.com/rideshare), each with a retrieval date.
  • Prices: only published or publicly stated figures; secondary sources are labelled.
  • Regulatory: Federal Register API (FAA, FCC, NOAA, Commerce), filtered by keyword.

Which launches are included

Upcoming (not yet launched) launches whose LL2 record or name indicates rideshare, multi-customer, broker-chartered, hosted IOD, or explicit spare rideshare capacity. Added later: GRACE-C (auto-detected 2026-10-14, reviewed). Excluded: single-customer dedicated launches; already-launched Zhuque-2E (2026-10-14); Soyuz 'MKA Kinosputnik, KOEN and others' (Roscosmos, likely inaccessible to US/EU customers — deliberately omitted).

  • Dedicated rideshare — Launch whose primary purpose is carrying many customers' payloads (e.g., Transporter, Bandwagon, H3 Mid-Inclination Rideshare)
  • Broker charter — Whole/major vehicle capacity purchased by an integrator and resold (e.g., Exolaunch Exo-1, SEOPS Waymaker)
  • Multi-payload — Multiple customers' satellites on one flight, not a branded rideshare program
  • Co-manifest — Two or more named primary payloads co-manifested; no open slots advertised
  • Spare capacity — Primary mission with stated secondary/rideshare capacity
  • Agency IOD — Agency in-orbit-demonstration flight carrying multiple organizations' payloads
  • Hosted payloads — Single spacecraft hosting many organizations' payloads

Slip history

Each mission's planned date (NET), date precision and status are stored the first time we see them. Every later change is appended with a timestamp and source. Tracking began 14 Oct 2026, 21:05 PT; earlier slips are not reflected. Slips between coarse dates (month/quarter/year) are labelled as coarse.

Unknowns

If a value isn't published, it's shown as unknown. We don't estimate slot availability, capacity or prices.

Attribution & data terms

  • Launch Library 2 — The Space Devs. Launch schedule data comes from the Launch Library 2 API by The Space Devs (TSD), a non-profit. TSD's terms of use (checked 14 Oct 2026) allow free use and sharing of the data, ask users not to forward it without adding value, state that 100% accuracy can't be guaranteed, and say attribution is not mandatory but encouraged and appreciated. We credit TSD on every page, add value through curation, slip history and sourcing, and stay within the free tier (15 requests/hour). We don't use LL2 images (they carry separate licences).
  • Federal Register. Regulatory items come from the Federal Register API published by the Office of the Federal Register (National Archives) and the US Government Publishing Office. FederalRegister.gov is not an official legal edition of the Federal Register; for legal research, use the official edition on govinfo.gov. Abstracts shown are the agencies' own text (US government works).
  • Jobs. Titles and locations come from employers' public job boards (Greenhouse, Personio). We link to the employer's own posting and don't copy descriptions.

Approval gate

New missions and every sponsor or featured placement need a manual approved: true from the publisher before they appear. Auto-detected launches are never published automatically.

Independence

This site does not sell or broker launches. For quotes, use independent marketplaces such as NewSpace Market or RIDE!, or contact providers directly.
