Rideshare Ledger

Privacy policy

Effective date: October 18, 2026 · Last updated: October 18, 2026

Rideshare Ledger is a free website about smallsat launches, rideshares and licensing. It is run by the publisher of Rideshare Ledger ("we", "us"). This page explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

  • Website visits. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to operate and secure the site.
  • Messages you send us. If you email us (for example, to suggest a job or ask about sponsorship), we keep your message and contact details so we can reply.
  • Sponsors. For sponsors, we keep business contact details and the sponsor agreement. Sponsors pay through Stripe; we don't see or store card data.

No analytics or advertising cookies

We don't use analytics, advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. There are no accounts or sign-up forms on this site.

How we use it

  • To run and secure the website.
  • To reply to you and to manage sponsorships.
  • To meet legal obligations.

Service providers

These providers process data for us under their own terms:

We don't sell your data

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we don't give it to sponsors or anyone else.

How long we keep data

We keep messages and sponsor records only as long as needed for the purposes above and for legal and tax records.

California residents (CCPA)

California residents have rights over their personal information. Rideshare Ledger is a very small operation and may fall below the thresholds where the CCPA formally applies, but we will honour these requests anyway:

  • Right to know what personal information we have about you and how we use it.
  • Right to delete it, subject to a few legal exceptions.
  • Right to correct inaccurate information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We don't sell or share personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of.
  • No discrimination for using these rights.

To make a request, email rideshareledger@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity, for example by replying from the email address you used to contact us.

Children

This site is for professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.

Third-party sites

We link to other websites (launch providers, marketplaces, government sites, employers). Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If the changes are significant, we'll also note them on the site.
